You can’t force change

Thursday February 18, 2010 #196

“We must understand that many people do not wish to change. They only seek someone with whom to share their misery”.

~John Peniel

Too many are stuck in their current reality, content in their misery because they prefer that to the challenge of change.  Though they know logically they must change to reach their goals, to improve their situation, to find happiness, they persist in fighting change.  If you are facing someone like this, realize that you cannot force change – it must be voluntary.  It is not your responsibility to change them.  Your responsibility is to your own needed changes.  Focus on you.

Thank you to JAMmer A-SB for sharing today’s quote.
