Know what you don’t know

Thursday July 22, 2010 #239

“To be conscious that you are ignorant of the facts is a great step to knowledge.”

~Benjamin Disraeli

Said in another way, it is good to know what you don’t know.  This takes curiosity, a desire to improve, and is based on humility.  Never allow yourself to become too sure of your genius, or dismissive of new ideas or suggestions from others.  Always recognize that everyone knows something you don’t and revel in the opportunity to discover what that is!
