Stop thinking and start doing

Tuesday February 12, 2013 #497

“Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.”

~Edmund Burke

Poverty, depression, hunger, violence, suffering….  These exist – nearby and far away.  If you could make a difference to those in such circumstances, you would, wouldn’t you?  It can all be so overwhelming.  You can feel powerless in the face of the enormity of the challenges.  But you can do something and the power really lies in the smallest of actions.  A smile, a few coins, a word of gratitude, demonstrating kindness instead of anger, noticing someone who needs help.  All of these can have massive impact individually and definitely in aggregate.

Stop thinking about what you can do, and start doing.
